The research is Entitled by "The effect of frayter's strategy and contextual redefinition strategy on students' vocabulary mastery of eight grade students at Sekolah Menengah Kristen Mawar Saron Tangerang was conducted using quantitative approach with experimental design. This study aims to analyze the effect of frayer's strategy and contextual redefinition strategy on students' vocabulary mastery of Eight Grade Students at Sekolah Menengah Pertama Kristen Mawar Saron. From 120 of total population there were 60 students selected to be simple of this research with purposive sampling technique. Those students consist of 30 grouped into control and experimental group. Both of control and experiment groups were treated using different strategies are Frayer and contextual redefinition to improve students vocabulary mastery. Before doing the analysis and test, all data were estimated its normality and homogeneity using kolmogorv-smirnov Z formula to see the data normally distributed
