The study is aimed to investigate the better method which can improve
students’ speaking skill with their learning style, Role Play or Simulation. The
researcher carried out the study at SMPN 10 Tangerang, Academic Period 2014 –
2015. The design of this research is quantitative with quasi experimental. There were four experimental classes divided into two groups. First group are taught by Role Play, and the second group is taught by Simulation. The data of the post test were analyzed and compared using Two Ways Analysis of Variance (Two Ways ANOVA). The result of the data analysis indicates that the achievement of two groups are different. There is a significant improvement of students’ speaking skill of those who are taught by using Simulation. Overall, the result that the average students taught using Role Play which has total mean 82.10 is smaller than the mean score of students who are taught using Simulation has mean score 85.37. Then seen from each treatment, in Role Play in Kinesthetic learners has mean score (86.30) larger than the students with other learning styles ( Visual and Auditory ). Otherwise, the Tukey Test of speaking test was done to see the comparison between each learning style of students taught by using the Role Play and Simulation.
