The research focused on developing students' reading comprehension by using extensive reading. This study was conducted to identify the development of students' reading comprehension by using extensive reading. It was used to solve the students' problem in learning to read. This research applied principal of qualitative method. The participants are 10th grade students at SMA Al-Husna Tangerang in the first semester. The totals of participants were six students. This study used observation, reading survey (MRP), documents and interview in collecting the data. The result of this study shows that extensive reading gives a positive impact in building students' motivation and in developing students' reading comprehension. The researcher suggest to the teacher, students and further researcher to use extensive reading as the alternative way in teaching reading in school to develop students' reading comprehension and language proficiency in all skill in English
