The objective of this research is to find out the effectiveness of two strategies DRTA and Webbing in enhancing students‟ reading comprehension at Narrative text. DRTA and Webbing are two strategies which are used in pre – reading activity. There are three phases in DRTA strategy namely predict, read and revise. This strategy helps students‟ readiness in facing the reading material. Meanwhile in Webbing strategy, the general theme writes in the web and puts it in the middle. This web will be branch into some webs which contain main ideas and they will be connected with supporting ideas based on its group. The grouping of these ideas will help students to understand more the content of the text. There are three questions in this research, first, whether there is an effect of using DRTA strategy in enhancing students‟ reading comprehension at narrative text, second whether there is an effect of using Webbing strategy in enhancing students‟ reading comprehension at narrative text and the last is whether there is a difference of improvement on students‟ reading comprehension between those taught using DRTA strategy and those taught using Webbing. This research was quantitative research which was comparing two strategies between DRTA and Webbing. The subjects of this research were students at VIII grades of SMP Al – Huda Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. The total samples of this research were eighty students and there were forty students in each class. In each class was given different treatments by using DRTA and Webbing. After conducting the research, there are three findings in this research, first there is a significant effect of using DRTA strategy in enhancing students‟ reading comprehension at narrative text as the p- value is 0.000, less than ɑ = 0.05. Second, Webbing strategy also gives a significant effect to enhance students‟ reading comprehension at narrative text as the p- value is 0.000, less than ɑ = 0.05. and the last is there is no difference of improvement on students‟ reading comprehension between those taught using DRTA strategy and those taught using Webbing strategy as the p- value is 0.143 which bigger than 0.05.
