Syllabus design is a continuous process in designing syllabus based on the analysis of the students' needs in accordance with the development of science and technology which is always revised until being perfect. This research is about the development of English language syllabus for banking at PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk in Jakarta-Indonesia. In this research, the writer conducted the research of four stages: (1) data collection is based on the analysis of students' needs with using questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation, (2) the syllabus is developed by adopting the existing syllabus, (3) the content of the syllabus is adjusted to the needs of students, and (4) the syllabus is validated by two experts. The writer used the data compiling method by giving questionnaires and interview. The questionnaire addressed to customer service representative, trainer, and foreign customers. Interviews were conducted to collect information from the branch manager. need analysis conducted by distributing questionnaires and telephone calls in which the results are then analyzed
