The researcher employed classroom action research methods.The instruments used were questionnaire, classroom observation, assessment from for oral presentation and interview. The questionnaire was addressed to students, alumni, and the board management of institution. The classroom observation was used to observe and evaluate the students' progress on their speaking skills by implementing multimedia-based presentation. Authentic assessment from was used to assess how effective the multimedia can improve the students' speaking skills. The interview was done to collect information from the companies or users that have ever recruited the academy's graduates. The need analysis was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The results were analyzed. The results of needs analysis, along with the application of multimedia based presentation, became the basis for the researcher to conduct his study in improving students' speaking skills, and hopefully be able to encourage their motivation and interest in learning English language. Materials designed in the form of slides of PowerPoint presentation as what students requested on their responses of questions for designing and fulfilling their needs to do presentation orally.
