This research discusses about the effect of cooperative learning and interdependence learning methods on students' narrative writing skill. This research is conducted using quantitative approach with experimental design with students of Bandung Islamic University as the research object. The main objective of this research is to finding out which of both methods that is studied cooperative learning method and interdependence learning methods has more significant effect in improving students' writing skill. Cooperative learning is a learning method which employ small teams of students, each with students of different level of ability, use a variety of learning activities to improve their understanding of a subject. Students must work together to accomplish a common goal or to receive a common reward. While interdependence learning is learning method where students interact with each other to acquire and practice the element of subject matter to meet common learning goal.
