This research focused on teaching technique and writing habit, and both effect on students' writing ability in descriptive text for students of seventh grade Al-Izzah Islamic Junior High School, Serang Banten academic year 2011/2012. It was conducted in quantitative approach with experimental design. From 179 (students sample) of five classes, he decides only 2 classes of seventh Akhwat 2 (33 students) and seventh Ikhwan (38 students) then narrows it through the upper and lower bound of each, the amount of 50 students as a sample of research. The first experimental class was seventh Akhwat 2 which taught by Webbing techniques, whereas the seventh Ikhwan taught by Guided composition techniques, all writing materials are the same about descriptive text as assigned by School Based Curriculum (Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan/ KTSP) 2006 for seventh grade of second semester, from January-May 2012.
