This study aims at investigating STAN students' level of motivation and level of anxiety in learning English and the relationship between motivation and English proficiency, between anxiety and English proficiency, and the relationship between students' motivation and anxiety and their English proficiency. Based on a survey consisting of a motivation questionnaire, an anxiety questionnaire, and an English proficiency test, the findings revealed that there were a moderate anxiety level and a high motivational level in learning English among STAN students, as well as an intermediate level of English proficiency. Motivation is positively correlated with students' English proficiency, and anxiety is negatively correlated with students' English proficiency.
