The objectives of this research are (1) to examine whether speed reading technique and motivation jointly explain the fourth semester of TBI students' reading comprehension; (2) to examine whether speed reading technique explain the fourth semester of TBI students' reading comprehension controlling for motivation; (3) to examine whether motivation explain the fourth semester of TBI students' reading comprehension controlling for speed reading technique. As many as 110 students were involved in this research from five classes that are TBI A, B, C, D, and E. Furthermore, in collecting data the researcher employed test and questionnaire as research instruments conducted from May 19 to June 19 2012.
