This study aims to investigate the effects of direct and metalinguistic corrective feedback on students' structure in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Bogor. Two out of nine classes of the eleventh grade are chosen as the sample of this study using cluster random sampling. Specially, this study aims to answer the following research questions: (1) what is the effect of direct corrective feedback on students' syntactic structure?, (2) What is the effect of metalinguistic corrective feedback on students' syntactic structure, and (3) What is the effect of direct and metalinguistic corrective feedback altogether on sudents' syntactic structure?. A qualitative method is used in the study embracing a quasi-experimental research. Three narrative texts are used for the treatment sessions as the media to elicit students' errors, errors which are corrected using the two types of corrective feedback. Two types of test are used for pre-test and post test to assess their syntactic structure ability. The first test is a grammatically judgement test which is adopted from muranoi and the second one is a multiple choice test.
