This study attempted to design English materials for taxi drivers in communicative speaking skill by the researcher who also as the writer and the teacher. this study was conducted on the assumptions that (1) the suitable materials for taxi drivers should be provided, (2) in this study the needs analysis is used to provide the syllabus as the starting point to design the materials. The study was done to know the respondents' needs, their basic English and the target of English training at the end of the course that the respondents can use English in their work place in real situation. The study was conducted to find answers to the following research questions: (1) Is the teaching material prepared suitable for the taxi drivers based on the analysis of their needs? (2) Does the approach used in the teaching materials provide guidance for the instructor in teaching and learning process?
