The research that is entitled by " The effect of thematic learning and case-based learning methods on reading comprehension skill of vocational courses in Sriwijaya State Buddhist College Tangerang Banten Students of the First Year Academic year 2010/2011" conducted in quantitative approach with experimental design. This study aims to investigate the effects of thematic learning and case-based learning method on reading comprehensions skill of vocational courses students of the first year Sriwijaya State Buddhist College Tangerang Banten in academic year 2010/2011. From 160 of total population there were 40 students are selected to be the sample of this research with purposive sampling technique.
