The aim of this research is; The first is to explain how animation movies
can improve students' writing skills. Second, to find out what factors influence
changes in the ability to write recount text in class XII IPA.1 MAN 1 Kuningan
through animation movies. This research is Classroom Action Research. This
research procedure consists of planning, action, observation and reflection. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Kuningan in the 2019/2020 academic year. The participants were students of class XII IPA 1 at that school. The research instrument is quantitative and qualitative data. These data are analyzed to explain how their ability to write recount text can be improved through animation movies and what factors influence it. The results of the study show that animation movies can improve students' ability to write recounts from cycle 1 to cycle 2. The improvement in learning outcomes is evidenced by the students' writing scores where they can gradually increase their scores. Improvement can also be seen from the appearance of students in learning during the learning process. Students become more active and all students are involved in the learning process. Students are more enthusiastic in following the lesson so that the class becomes more conducive. From this study it can also be concluded that the improvement of students' writing ability is influenced by four factors; classroom activities, materials, classroom
management, and teacher approaches. By analyzing the results of observations and tests, it can be concluded that the use of animation movies in learning can improve students' recount writing skills and become one of the right ways of teaching writing.
