Feedback literacy is an important factor for effective feedback process. It is an ability to read, process and utilize feedback for improvement. Students’ lack of feedback literacy may impact their feedback engagement. A total of 7 undergraduate students were interviewed about their experiences and views on feedback practices at the university. This study aimed at identifying the features of students’ feedback literacy and how it influences their feedback engagement. The semi-structured interview data were then analyzed using thematic analysis. This study identified 4 features of undergraduate students’ feedback literacy namely appreciating feedback, making judgments, managing emotions and taking action. The results of the study also showed that feedback literacy influences students’ engagement with feedback. Feedback literate students tend to appreciate both positive and corrective feedback. They demonstrate an openness to receive feedback and get involved in understanding, interpreting and taking action on feedback. Meanwhile, students who are less feedback literate tend to only appreciate the positive feedback and apply feedback on superficial level.
