Authentic assessment has been an issue for some times. Even, Indonesian Education Curriculum 2013 has adopted authentic assessment. Moreover, since pandemic Covid19, authentic assessment became the urgent matter to discuss. Due to this condition, this study aims to investigate how the high schools’ English teachers perceive authentic online assessments, and how they conduct authentic online assessment remotely from home. This study employed an explanatory mixed method in which the researcher gathered the quantitative data using an SPSS and qualitative data from interviews and document analysis. There were 90 SMK and SMA English teachers as the respondents of this research. The researcher analyzed the data using descriptive data analysis. The findings of the study showed that teachers had positive perceptions on authentic assessment, authentic online assessment which meant that they had good understanding on authentic assessment. The study also displayed that the teachers had already practiced authentic online assessment using some online learning platforms and shared that adequate instruction, deadlines, and forms of submissions were prominent in conducting the online assessment.
