Learning from home is not a problem since learning activities can be carried out without being constrained by time or space, particularly in today's conditions, which are aided by technological advancements that allow for online teaching and learning. Of course, online learning in its present state is a novel concept. This research aimed to find out how do teachers use the mobile application in online learning and to find out the challenges faced by English teachers by using the mobile application. This research used a qualitative research with questionnaire and interview and the selected participants would be 16 vocational high school teachers of English who have teaching assignment in Jakarta. The findings shows that teachers consider that using the application is the best for learning English online. The application is considered very helpful for teachers in the teaching and learning process. In addition, the mobile application used by the teachers is flexible so that it can be used anywhere and anytime and can make learning English more effective and practical. In implementing the mobile application, the teachers feel that the English learning materials using the mobile application are in accordance with the material in the lesson plans and syllabus. The teachers adjust it by looking at the lesson plan, basic competencies and also the core competencies in the lesson plans and syllabus so that the existing materials can be adapted using a mobile application so as to make online English learning useful.
