This objective of this research was to facilitate student’s in improving academic writing skill in Information Technique Major Class at Institut Teknologi Budi Utomo in second semester of academic year 2017/2018 using Modified Dictogloss. This research was quasi-experimental research with One Group Pretest- Postest Design. The data was collected through the usages of test, interview, observation and questionnaires. The data was analysed through descriptive statistics and visual description and data verification. The research findings are that Modified Dictogloss can facilitate students’ in improving their academic writing skills at Institut Teknologi Budi Utomo That supported by changing patterns from pre-test, treatments, and posttest indicates students’ achievements always improved from time to time as treatments given. It is proven by the results from treatment 1 to treatment 3 showed significant improvements, which indicated the positive pattern changing. The maximum score from treatment pre-test, treatment 1 to 3, and post-test were 70, 85, 85, 90 and 95. Meanwhile, the average scores were 60.47, 72.75, 77.25, 82.75, and 85.75 Further, the minimum scores were rapidly increased from 45, 60 ,70, 70, until 80.
