This study is aimed to investigate wheter the use of social media (WhatsApp and Line Messenger) and student’s attitude toward student’s writing skill at Madrasah Aliyah in Bogor. This study used experimental design. There were two experimental classes divided into two groups. The experimental class was taught by using WhatsApp meanwhile the comparison class was taught by using Line Messenger. This study used purposive sampling technique. Seventy students were appointed as the representative sample of this study. Samples were taken by considering students’ writing score and their attitude toward students’ writing skill. The result data were analyzed and compared using Two-Way ANOVA. The result of analysis indicates that the achievements of the students are different. Based on the analysis of the data, this research showed that students with positive attitude who are taught by using WhatsApp got higher score than students with positive attitude who are taught by using Line Messenger. It can be seen from the mean score of the students’ who are taught by using WhatsApp was 74.25 meanwhile the mean score of the students who are taught by using Line WhatsApp 71.00. Furthermore, students with negative attitude who are taught using WhatsApp got 69.50 which higher than the students who are taught by using Line Messenger was 68.00 The researcher also revelead that there was significant interaction between social media and students’ attitude toward their writing skill. This proven by the p-value (0.017) is smaller than α = 0.05.
