This research was conducted to find the discourse analysis of the classroom interaction patterns in the teaching of speaking skill in Transactional Listening Speaking classroom, English Foreign Language classroom. This research was conducted on October to November 2017 at University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. HAMKA. The aim of this research is to investigate the variation of classroom interaction patterns which happen on the EFL classroom, speaking subject. What are the interaction patterns are found on this research aimed at contribute the pedagogic goal and language used by teacher theory. This research is qualitative case study with thirty students and one English Lecturer. The sample of this research was taken purposively and the data was analyzed by using Discourse Analysis. The research discussed the interaction patterns in EFL classroom, the exchanges existed on the interaction are boundary and teaching exchange, the language teacher use features are direct error correction, content feedback, checking for confirmation, extended wait-time and the questioning strategies which includes display and referential question. Thus, the understanding of classroom interaction patterns are important to be understood by teacher to support the teaching and learning activity on the classroom.
