The advancement of information and technology has provided more alternative platform for teachers to enact an online teaching and learning classroom. Unfortunately, little has been done to evaluate the affordability of technological classroom to facilitate the teaching and learning of English as a foreign language (EFL). This study aimed to examine and compare the affordability of Schoology and Edmodo as online EFL learning platform. In doing so, Hubbard's CALL software evaluation frameworks were employed. Findings of the study suggested potential feature from the two platforms that benefited students' EFL learning online. The findings also highlighted the importance of teachers' technological, pedagogical and content knowledge in applying the two CALL platform in practice. Recommendation for practice and further research were offered in relation to the findings of the study
