The objective of this study is to enhance the students’ reading comprehension using SQ3R (Survey, question, read, recite, and review) strategy on the Twelfth grade at Karya Guna Vocational School in the 2017/ 2018 academic year. The participants of the study were the students of XII TKJ 1. The English teacher, the writer, and the students of XII TKJ 1 class were the team members of the study. The data were obtained through observations and interviews with the students and the English teacher. The data were in the forms of field notes and interview transcripts. To support qualitative data, quantitative data were obtained from the reading test 1 until 3 scores. The actions implemented in this study applied the SQ3R strategy in reading activity to enhance students’ reading comprehension. The study was conducted in three cycles. Every cycle consisted of some steps: planning, acting, observing, and reflection. There were some results of the study. First, the students showed good comprehension about the text of the given topic. Second, by answering questions from the writer, the students showed good motivation in reading activity. Third, the students were able to practice reading through various given topics. Looking at the scores, in the first cycle, the mean score was 67.50. There were only 16 students or 66.67 % of students who got the passing score from the minimal mastery level creation (KKM). The second cycle, the mean score was 74.58 There were only 20 students or 83.33 % of students who got the score passed from the Minimal Mastery Level Creation (KKM). The third cycle, test the mean score was 75.00. There were only 20 students or 83.33 % of students who got the score passed from the minimal mastery level creation (KKM).
