The objective of this research is to improve the English vocabulary mastery by using TPR and Peer Assessment of the second grade students at SD Al Bayan Islamic School. The research was an action research. The participants of the research were the students of the second grade students at SD Al Bayan Islamic School. The researcher was as the English teacher in this research. The data were obtained through tests, observations and interviews with the students and the English teacher. To support qualitative data, quantitative data were obtained from the TPR evaluation test in cycle 1 to cycle 3 scores and Pre test and Post test score. The actions research implemented here was conducting TPR and Peer Assessment in learning English vocabulary. The research was conducted in three cycles. Every cycle consisted of some steps; those were planning, acting, observing, and reflection. There are some results of the research. First, the contribution of TPR in learning English is the students looked enthusiat when learning English words using TPR. The TPR activities taught the students to understand the words easily by showing action/ pictures and video. Second, the contribution of Peer Assessment in learning English is the students learned to be cooperative in doing every assigments. Third, the activities using TPR and Peer Assessment effectively able to manage learning English in this research very well. Looking at the students’ mean scores of Pre Test and Post Test, it clearly showed an improvement that was increasing from 75.36 to 92.96. According to the students’ Post-test score, it can be concluded that all of students have reached score more than KKM score (75.00). The researcher assumes that every student showed increasing improvement from the score in every cycle.
