This research was conducted to know the roles of diary and written corrective feedback in improving students’ descriptive writing. This research used a classroom action research. The writer used observation, test and an interview as the instruments of this research. Thirteen students as participants in this research and the research conducted into three cycles. The finding of research showed there were improvements in every cycle. The writer concluded that implementation of diary and written corrective feedback can improve students’ writing skill, especially on writing descriptive. The result showed that students had passed the standard criterion of minimal mastery level criterion (KKM) because they have means score 77.15 in the last cycle. The students also had passed the standard criterion of research was 92.31%. It means that students have improved their writing descriptive trough diary and written corrective feedback. The interview transcription also explained that diary was encouraged their thinking and writing by requiring them habitually on writing moreover the corrective feedback was helped them to improve their writing. Besides it, they perceived that diary and written corrective feedback effective to be implemented on English learning
