This study aimed to know whether students’ reading comprehension could be enhanced by using Question-Generation Strategy for the fifth grade primary students at SDN 3 Negara Ratu South Lampung. In addition, this study also aimed to describe how the implementation of Question-Generation Strategy in enhancing students’ reading comprehension for the fifth grade primary students. This study is categorized as the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method in which to identify and to solve the problem on students’ reading comprehension. This research is initiated through the interview to the English teacher and observation in the class V at SDN 3 Negara Ratu; considered as the class whose English score are very low. The total number of students in that class is 23. In this classroom action research, the researcher implements the Kemmis and McTaggart Action Research Model; which consists of four phases. Those are planning, action, observation, and reflection. Meanwhile, the data is derived among from the interview to teacher and students, observation, field notes and test (pre-test and post-test). Therefore, this research is included into qualitative descriptive research. The findings of this research are: (1) related to the results of observation, filed notes and interview, the results showed that the students are active and enthusiastic to read English reading text and the students are able to comprehend the English reading text by making question based on the implementation of Question Generation Strategy, (2) related to the results of the test, there was 19.78 % improvement of students’ reading comprehension mean score after implementing Question-Generation Strategy. Based on the pre-test result, there were 4 students who passed the KKM. Then based on the result of the post-test 1 in cycle I, there were 13 or 57 % students in the class who passed the KKM in which their mean score of reading comprehension test derived 56.96. The result of post-test 2 in cycle II showed that there were 15 or 65 % students in the class who passed the KKM in which their mean score of reading comprehension test derived 60. Next in the result of post-test 3 in cycle III, there were 19 or 83 % students in the class who passed the KKM in which their mean score of reading comprehension test derived 67.61.
