This research aims to investigate students’ difficulties factor in pronouncing phoneme /f/, and /v/ at Mutiara Boarding School Palabuhanratu and to find out how the students solve the problem in pronouncing phoneme /f/, and /v/ at Mutiara Boarding School Palabuhanratu. This research is Qualitative and quantitative research. The researcher used four data collecting techniques: observation, Questionnaire, interview and tests. The participants of this research were involving twenty students. The population of this study was all the first students Mutiara Boarding School in academic year 2016/2017. The number of population was 60 students. In this research, it was found that there were some essential students’ difficulties factor in pronouncing phoneme /f/ and /v/ included: mother tongue, the teacher, the student, learning environment and facilities. Practice is the key for solving the students’ pronunciation, specially in pronouncing phonemes /f/ and /v/. As can be seen from the following students’ test pre-test and post test. The students got 1.8 as their average score in pre- test, 6.5 as their average score in cycle I post- test, 8.7 as their average score in cycle II post- test. In conclusion, it is advisable for teachers to pay more attention to pronunciation and train students so that they get to know the correct pronunciation. The teacher have to giving a high motivation to increase students’ confidence. Practicing can be used as a technique in improving students’ pronunciation. Surely this will eliminate the assumption that the Sundanese people cannot pronounce phonemes /f/ and /v/.
