The objective of this research are to find out: (1) whether there is significant difference effect between students who are taught by using Jigsaw and students who are taught by using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) on students’ writing skill, (2) to examine whether there is any significant difference effect between students who have positive attitude and students who have negative attitude on their writing skill, (3)to discovery if there are any interaction in teachning techniques and students’ attitude on writing skill at the eighth grade of MTs At-Taqwa Tangerang. This research uses quasi experimental design with 2x2 factorial. Population is 238 students of all the first grade students’ at MTs at-Taqwa. Sample is 40 students which is taken by using cluster sampling technique. The 40 students are divided into two classes. The first, experimental class taught by using Jigsaw technique, there are 20 students that is divided into 10 students who have positive attitude and 10 students who have negative attitude. Second, comparison class taught by using CIRC technique, there are also 20 students that is divided into 10 students with positive attitude and 10 students with negative attitude. Data is collected by giving two instruments such as writing test and questionnaire. Writing test is used to measure the students’ ability of writing recount text. Questionnaire is used to classified students with positive attitude and students with negative attitude. The data obtained is analysed by using Two Way Anova. The research finding shows that there are significant different effect between Jigsaw and CIRC on students writing skill a recount text in which p- value = 0.046 is less than α = 0.05, there is significant difference between students who have positive attitude and students who have negative attitude on their writing skill in which p-value = 0.031 is less than α = 0.05, and there is significant interaction between teaching technique: Jigsaw and CIRC and students’ attitude on students’ writing skill.
