The research was conducted to identify the students’ strategies to study English through DynEd software in order to be fluent in speaking English and to pinpoint the instructor’s strategies in guiding the students to grasp the substance of DynEd in order to comprehend the teaching materials as well as how DynEd software works in improving speaking English skill. The research used qualitative approach which involved the case study method. The participants whom were involved in this research were eight semester students of English Department at Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (STKIP) Kusuma Negara, situated at Jl. Raya Bogor Km. 24, Cijantung, Jakarta Timur 13770. The researcher chose four students to be interviewed and observed. They used think-aloud protocol in speaking practice which is available in Dyned modules. The researcher used observation and interview to know how the instructor provided the students with guidance. The result of this study shows that the DynEd software for English learning program is very effective in accelerating students’ acquisition in English competence is shorter period, it is because DynEd was basically designed on brain-based approach and it is also equipped with complete range of tools such as repeat button bar, record bar, head set button bar to improve students’ pronunciation, intonation and stress. DynEd has also equipped with records manager, study record, intelligent tutor to guide students to study autonomously at home. DynEd Software for English learning program can be more effective if it is supported with blended approach.
