The objective of this study is to identify the teachers’ perception about recast technique as corrective feedback. It also identifies the students’ benefits from recast technique in MIN Kota Tangerang Selatan, Ciputat and MI Saadatuddarain II, Pamulang. In this study, recast technique is used as a corrective feedback in the students’ error of speaking context for English young learners. The method used is qualitative approach by case study design. The writer collected the data by using observations and semi-unstructured interviews. Interviews were conducted to ten teachers and twenty four students in MIN Kota Tangerang Selatan, Ciputat and MI Saadatuddarain II, Pamulang. The results of the studyshowed that the teachers had positive perceptions in general torecast as corrective feedback. Hence, recast technique could keep feeling, motivation and self-esteem of the students. Meanwhile, the students got benefits from this corrective feedback; recast urged students to reform the correct form of linguistics features. In conclusion, this study found that recast was effective as corrective feedback, meaning that an appropriate corrective feedback is needed in order to achieve the target language. As a consequence, the writer suggests to the teachers to userecast technique as a corrective feedback to correct students’ errors.
