This thesis aims to reveal the teachers’ beliefs on children’s characteristics, how the children learn a foreign language and to see whether what their beliefs are reflected in the way they administer the lesson in their classroom. The methods used is qualitative methods. Through triangulation strategy, the researcher collected the data by using questionnaires, observations and interviews. Two teachers of State Elementary School II of Kramat, participated in this study. The teachers were given a set of questionnaire in order to gain the data about their beliefs. They were also observed while teaching to their students to seek information on the teaching practices they usually administered. To validate the data they were interviewed.
