Speaking in English is not easy; it requires training and practice are conducted continuously so that students are mentally not feeling anxious, afraid and nervous when they have willingness to speak. Besides that, speaking in English is a very important goal in learning a language. However, in reality 91% students at Karomah Learning Center who experience anxiety in high level, nervous, and fear when going to speak so the negative potential is they are unable to speak and do not want to learn English anymore. Moreover, only 9% are in low anxiety or able to speak in English. Furthermore, this thesis aims at researching, developing and designing a teaching through camcorder as a medium of education to improve students’ speaking ability and to alleviate students’ speaking anxiety. Thus, those were also to support English speaking learning on grade junior at Karomah Learning Center, west Jakarta Grogol. A qualitative approach method has been used in this study that referencing to Research and Development (R&D) technique. In this study, I collected the data by using the method of observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Based on this research, it was found that there are several factors that influence inability to speak in English: lack of motivation from teachers and the environment. Lack of training and practice to speak, discomfort in learning English, too many assignment LKS (student worksheet) is also too excessive, so make the students got bored. And the inability of teachers to develope teaching speaking by using an updated educational media is also another factor. In addition, a camcorder is also known has a benefit that can be used to overcome a problem in speaking mentally. It can be concluded that the implementation of camcorder as media in teaching-learning process can alleviate students’ speaking anxiety. This is proven by some of students who have shown progress positively on their speaking test, the interview had described a positive view of the teaching procedures, and the surveys shown a significantly change.
