This thesis aimed to enhance the students’ vocabulary mastery at SDN Selakopi Bogor through the use of song worksheet which was not ever used in the school. To be the participants of the study, twenty-two fourth graders in the researcher’s own classroom were selected. Besides, the students’ response was also investigated to gain insights. The action research, as the research method, was utilized in three cycles of learning. In addition, the data collecting techniques used in this research were the vocabulary test, observation and interview for data triangulation. To look for the students’ enhancement, the test result was calculated and compared with the successful criteria of this action research. The first thing to be notified was the baseline of the students’ ability and it was followed by the action research processes consisting of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The action mainly included tasks on the basis of the song worksheet. To investigate the students’ response concerning the use of song worksheet in the action process, the result of observation and interview were categorized and interpreted. From the findings, the students could be attentive to the lesson. To succeed the achievement, there were some evaluations applied by the teacher. They were about 1) song selections, 2) musical introductions, 3) song repetitions, 4) additional practices, 5) confirmation of instructions, 6) chances for the students to show their answer and 7) varied tasks. Further, to gain insights concerning the use of song worksheet, some responses from interviewees were noted. They were dominantly 1) having exposures to other children songs in their environment, 2) confused and forgetful to master new vocabulary on a daily basis, 3) experiencing difficulty of the song going too fast to listen, 4) feeling happy when learning through the song worksheet, 5) preferring the use of song worksheet due to enjoyable activities, 6) giving preference to the crossing incorrect words task. Finally, the use of song worksheet helped the students to achieve the decided score. That process conducted in this action research was expected to provide cognizance for other teachers on the use of song worksheet to enhance students’ vocabulary mastery.
