SYIFA SILVIA NIM. 1201065238. The Content Validity of the English Summative Test for the Tenth Grade Students at SMKN 1 Cikarang on 2017-2018 Academic Year. A paper, Jakarta: The Study Programme of English Education, The school of Teachers Training and Education, the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA Jakarta, 2018. This research is intended to know whether he English summative test for the tenth grade students of SMKN 1 Cikarang Barat has fulfilled content validity or not. The research method is descriptive comparative analysis. The writer analyzing and comparing the content validity of the English summative test based on the syllabus and the 2013 curriculum. The instruments were in the forms cheklists which were arranged based on materials and objectives in syllabus of 2013 curriculum. The research is focused on writting skill, reading skill and grammar component. The test consisted of 30 items multiple choices and 5 items essays. In this research there were no test items that dealt with listening, speaking skills, and vocabulary component because they have been assessed in daily learning activities. From the finding of the research, it can be seen that the English summative test is not well constructed for there are only 31,5% of the test items that are in line with the objectives and materials in the syllabus of 2013 Curriculum. According to Arikunto’s conformity level, the English summative test for the tenth grade students of SMKN 1 Cikarang Barat which was administered in the first semester has bad content validity.
