RISKA AZHARI PRATASSHA. The Effectiveness of Using Puppet in Teaching Vocabulary of the Fourth Grade SDN Pasar Baru 05 Pagi Jakarta in Academic Year 2013 – 2014. Paper. The aim of this research is to find out the effectiveness of using puppet in teaching vocabulary. The writer used an experiment class method. The population of this research were all the students of SDN Pasar Baru 05 Pagi Jakarta. The samples were taken from two classes of the fourth grade. The writer took 30 students for the sample of experiment class and 30 students in control class. In this research the treatment was done for six times and was ended with post-test. The data that the writer got from the research were using the t-test formula. The result of the research shows that using puppet in teaching vocabulary is effective. It can be seen from the result of computation, tobserved 8.7 and ttable 1.67 because t0>tt, it means the using puppet in teaching vocabulary is effective for fourth grade SDN Pasar Baru 05 Pagi Jakarta. Based on the research findings of the research it can be summarized that teaching vocabulary using puppet is effective and can run well in the class situation, using puppet the students feel more interested and enjoy doing activities in the class.
