The Relationship between Vocabulary Mastery and Narrative Writing Text of the Tenth Grade of Senior High School Of Jakarta Islamic School (JIS) in The 2014/2015 Academic Year. A Paper: Jakarta, FKIP of Muhammadiyah University Prof. DR. Hamka, Jakarta, 2015. The aim of this research is to get the empirical evidence of the relationship between vocabulary mastery and narrative writing text of the tenth grade SMA PKP East Jakarta in the 2014-20115. The populations of this research are all students at tenth grade Senior High School of Jakarta Islamic School (JIS). The samples of the research are 84 students which were taken randomly of 7 classes. The finding of the research shows that students‟ vocabulary mastery gets average 67 and students‟ narrative writing text gets average score 72. After calculating and analyzing the data, the result shows robserved is higher than rtable (robserved = 0,76 > rtable = 0,213). So it can be concluded that there is a the relationship between vocabulary mastery and narrative writing text of the tenth grade Jakarta Islamic School. The data also shows that the tobserved= 14.33 and ttable = 1.67 , it means that to is higher than ttable. Therefore it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between vocabulary mastery and narrative writing text of the tenth grade Jakarta Islamic School. The regression analysis shows that the sample vocabulary mastery gives 76% contribution in narrative writing text. The empirical influence can be described as: Ŷ = 30.38 + 0,62 ̅ It means that each Y score can be predicted from X score by multiply b = 0.62 and contributed to the fixed value (constanta) of a = 30.38 So it can be concluded that the students‟ vocabulary mastery takes the importance and positively influencing to the students‟ narrative writing text on the tenth grade of Jakarta Islamic School (JIS). The benefit for teacher is that research might serve as reference to improve the quality of teaching and knowing the extent of the students‟ vocabulary mastery and students narrative writing text
