The objectives of the study is to know whether or not the English
Summative Test Given for The Eighth grade students of the first semester at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Islamiyah Srengseng in 2011-2012 academic year has a good content validity and it is suitable with existing the eighth grade students of English Syllabus of KTSP(School-based curriculum). This research was
administred at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Islamiyah Jakarta which is located on Jl. Raya Srengseng, Jakarta. This research is a qualitative method. It is analyzed by comparing the content validity of the English summative test with the eighth grade students of
English Syllabus. The object is aset of the final examination of the first semester at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Islamiyah Srengseng and KTSP(School-based curriculum). It is found that the materials got 75% reading skills and requirements in terms of writing material got 50%. TheFunctional skill is good since it presentage covered 87,5% and types of text is good since it precentage is 100%. Based on
the analysis above, the writer concluded that the English summative test given is good for the eighth grade students of the first semester at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Islamiyah Srengseng of the 2011-2012 academic year has good content validity.
