 Abstrak
The main objective of this research is to examine the magnitude influence of DER, ROE, EPS, PBV, Earning Growth variables toward rate of return of pharmaceutical industries stock , by developing financial ratios. Using classic assumption test, simple regression test (t-test) and multiple regression test (F-test), this model is applied in manufacturing companies listed at Indonesian Stock Exchange (ISX) in the period of 2000-2007. This research runs 72 samples, in which statistical methods are then used to examine six hypothesis. The result of this research is to examine the magnitude influence of DER, ROE,EPS,PBV, Earning Growth variables toward rate of return of pharmaceutical industries test (t-test) and multiple regression test (F-test) we can see clearly that partially the variables do not influence return of the stock except EPS variable which influence stock return as shown by significance value 0,003 < alpha = 0,05 but simultaneously the five variables influence the stock return as shown in the result of multiple regression test which is significant at 0,041 <= alpha = 0,05. With correlation value of 0,158 and adjusted R square 0,094 it means that up and down of stock return for 9,40% is influenced by those variables whereas the other 90,60% is influenced by other factors which are not in involved in this model. By these results, it is expected that the investors must be more careful to invest in pharmaceutical industries.
