Abstrak
This article is the summary from the findings of the rapid assessment conducted by Lembaga Penelitian Atma Jaya (LPA) several months ago. Facing the general election (Pemilu) 2004 in Indonesia the research team attempt to explore the response of the business practitioners, whether they are concerned with the election so that they decide to reduce the business , or thy are not and continue their business as usual. Though a survey of 160 respondents and in-depth interview with 15 persons, we conclude that eventhough they are worried about the uncertainties created by the political condition, they have confidences to continue their business.
Political uncertainties do not disturb the business activities. It is a positive tendency that has to maintained in the next general election.
