Banten Gubernatorial election was held on Sunday, November 26, 2006. There were 4 pairs of governor candidates and vice -governor candidates, they were Hj.Ratu Atut Chosiyah HM - HM Masduki, Zulkieflimansyah - Marissa Haque, Triana Sjam'un - Benyamin Dafnie, and Irsjad Djuwaeli - Mas Daniri. They held their campaigns for two weeks (9-23 November 2006). This study was done to examine how radar Banten and Tanggerang tribune newspaper reconstructed the news about Banten provincial election campaigns as the headline and to distinguish the factors which influenced the news construction of the election in both of the newspaper. In collecting data, this qualitative research used observation, interview and document analysis. The kind of this research is descriptive research which used framing analysis technique of Zongdang and Kosicki. The findings of this research showed that radar Banten considered Banten gubernatorial election a successful event because it was held in a conducive and glorious situation. On the other hand, Tangerang tribune believed that there were still many violations in the election.
