Aquachem is a software package developed specifically for management and interpretation of aqueous geochemical data. This program covers a wide range of creation hydrochemical database. Checking analytical data, plotting data in visual graphics, simple or complex calculations of hydrochemical data set. To make data interpretation easier, this program also provides thirteen types of visual graphics such as piper, durov, schoeller, ternary, and stiff. In this paper, aquachem program was used for interpretation of major anions and cations contained in shalllow groundwater and irrigation channel of Citarum at Karawang site. Groundwater samples were taken from dug or pump wells with 15-40 m depths, carried out in dry seasons of June-August 2002. Composition of anions and cations caused by mixing or evaporation process can be calculated easily thought this program. It was also estimated that six percents of KrSB-2 groundwater was mixed with seawater. Some visual graphic showed thatCitarum river has water type of NaHCO3 or fresh water whereas a few of groundwater samples cloud be classified as Nacl water type or rather brackish water. Most shallow groundwater of Karawang indicated a mixing composition of CaSO4, Ca-Mg-HCO3 and NaHCO3 water type.
