Abstrak
Diarrhea is still a global problem with a high degree of morbidity and mortality in various countries, especially in developing countries, and also as one of the main causes of high morbidity and mortality rates of children in the world. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers around the TPA Cipeucang settlement, Kademangan Village, South Tangerang City. This study uses quantitative research with a cross-sectional design, with a research sample of 83 mothers who have toddlers aged 12-59 months quota sampling technique. The analysis used in this study was univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. The results of this study indicate the age of toddlers (PR= 1,462; 95% CI 0,849-5,262 Pv= 0,164), fly density (PR= 2,925; 95% CI 1,669-5,126 Pv= 0,000), nutritional status (PR= 2,211; 95% CI 1,403-3,438 Pv= 0,001), measles immunization (PR= 1,729; 95% CI 1,109-2,695 Pv= 0,021), breastfeeding (PR= 2,121; 95% CI 1,250-3,599 Pv= 0,003), caregiver's habit of washing hands with soap (PR= 0,498; 95% CI 0,316-0,786 Pv= 0,003), caregiver habits in covering food (PR = 0,343; 95% CI 0,154-0,763 Pv = 0,002), source of drinking water (PR= 0,454; 95% CI 0,296-0,695 Pv= 0,003). In this study, what has a relationship with the incidence of diarrhea is fly density, nutritional status, breastfeeding, caregiver's habit of washing hands with soap, caregiver habits in covering food, source of drinking water. People pay more attention to the health of toddlers to avoid diseases, especially diarrheal diseases
