ABSTRACT
BAHRUDIN,The Role of Partnership Strategy between School and School Committee at Putra Pertiwi Elementary School in Pondok Cabe ? Pamulang. Thesis. The Graduate Program of Uhamka University, Jakarta 2011.
This research generally aims to get a clear description on the role of partnership strategy between school and school committee in applying the concept of School Based Management at Putra Pertiwi Elementary School in Pondok Cabe ? Pamulang.
And particularly, this research aims:
1. To find out the role of school committee as advisory agency, supporting agency, controlling agency, and mediator agency.
2. To find out the role of school committee on implementing School Based Management which is one of the school management approaches focused on the partnership of school management based on the main goal, that is to build the independent school.
This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative analytic approach. The method is chosen based on the data supplying the description about the more complicated social reality to turn into the concrete condition at Putra Pertiwi Elementary School in Pondok Cabe ? Pamulang.
This research produces some conclusions:
1. To function the school committee is focused on the society involvement that takes a part in supporting, giving the consideration, controlling, and becoming a mediator for the implementation of school programs by carrying out the discussion in planning the school program, collecting the supporting funds to manage the educational infrastructure, controlling in good coordination, cooperating, and having mutual trust to develop each role and function of implementing the school development.
2. To implement the school strategy of functioning the school committee at Putra Pertiwi Elementary School in Pondok Cabe ? Pamulang is focused on the involvement of making a program plan. The school committee works together with the school to plan and implement the school goal and program. The implementation of committee role to develop the educational quality gets motivated by all parties for implementing the program.
3. The school goal of functioning the school committee is to improve the school service, to accelerate the teaching ? learning process, to increase the condition of free school activities, to build the comfortable learning environment, and to develop the educational quality.
4. The partnership mechanism between school and school committee at Putra Pertiwi Elementary School in Pondok Cabe ? Pamulang motivates the achievement capability proper with the role, task, and function of the school and school committee, that produces the active, harmonious, mutual trusted, and quiet cooperation. It happens because of the society aspiration in taking the decision through the right institution, namely the school program.
5. The barrier of functioning school committee happens because there are different responses for the school program. It is caused by the parents? different backgrounds, so the school committee has to be responsive in socializing the school program.
6. Society?s suggestion on arranging the relevant program and their support in implementing the program are needed to overcome the barrier of developing the partnership between school and school committee.
