Abstrak
Peter Ferdinant Drucker, the intentor and the greatest thinker of modern management, passed away on November 11, 2005. Being the students of management, we are more or less familiar with his ideas about management, business, and society. This article is written as essay of appreciation. It deals briefly with Druckers life and major works on management, which clearly show that management is both profession as well as human discipline. Despite an American invention, management is inherent to the development of human civilization and will remain the basic institution of our civilization,
