Abstrak
This article is based on a research aiming at discovering tutors' perception towards tutorial implementation in Universitas Terbuka (UT). Tutors play an important role the succes of Universitas Terbuka 's students. As students in a distance education environment. Ut's students have responsibilities to manage their learning process. Tutors can help students to master learning contens and to stay in the system. However, it is common to find UT's tutors carry out their responsabilities half-heartedly. Most citied reasons for the situation is the lack of tutors' preparation. However, research condudted in south sumatra on 83 tutors' for primary school teacher's perception toward their role in leading the path to students succes prove that the tutors believe in the tutorial system. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive analysis
