Abstrak
There are two variables in this research. They are listening overview as independent variable and the result of students in learning listenis comprehensions as dependent variable. To find out the influence of listening overview on the result of students in learning listening comprehension. The aim of this research is to obtain information whether is a significant influence of listening overview to the result of student in learning listening comprehension. To increase as high as possible the students activity in listening comprehension skill. The research has been done at Faculty of Communications Jayabaya University, academic year of 2003/2004. The method used in this research is Quasi Experiment. The research population consists of all second semester of 600 students, of which 43 students as experiment class and 37 students as control class. Experiment class will be utilized as ample class for research and listening comprehension with listening overview used in teaching. The technique of analysis used is "t" test, with significant standart 0.05 (5%). Research result is the count value (2.34) is higher then the table count ratio (1.67). The result of research summarized that there is an influence of listening overview to the result in learning listening comprehension.
