Abstrak
This research is held to find out whether or not the English summative test items for the Second Year students of SLTPN 5 Rangksabitung-Banten have good criteria in terms of difficulty level and discriminating power. The test was held at SLTPN 5 Rangkasbitung?Banten on June 15, 2007. The respondents of this research are the second year students of the SLTPN 5 Rangkasbitung-Banten 2006/2007 Academic Year. The total numbers of the students are 80 students. Then, by using item analysis procedure, they are ranked from the highest to the lowest to take upper and lower group. After that, the writer took 27% from upper and lower to be analyzed The technique of data analysis of this research was done by performing the data in the form of tables and analyzing them by using difficulty level (F.V.) and the Discrimination power (D.P) Formula. Based on the data analysis of this research, it shows that there are 2 (5%) items, which must be rejected and revised are 7 (18.5%) items. From that information, it is stated that English summative test for the second year of SLTPN 5 Rangkasbitung Banten is good test.
