Abstrak
The aim of the research was to find the empirical evidence in order to prove effectiveness of using pictures in teaching vocabulary to kindergarten pupils at Al-Afshah Kindergarten, Komplek Taman Asri 1 Larangan Tangerang Banten. The population in this research is the pupils of Al-Afshah Kindergarten which is divided into 5 classes, there are Play Group, A1, A2, B1 and B2 classes. Each class consists of 15 pupils. The sample of this research is the pupils of B1 and B2 classes, B1 class as the experimental class and B2 class as the controlled class, so the sample in this research is 30 pupils. From the data analysis it was found that the t observed was 1.77 and the t-table was 1.70. Because the t0 > ttable, it means the H0 is rejected and the Hi is accepted. So it can be concluded that using picture technique in improving pupils vocabulary is effective.
