Abstrak
The purpose of this study is to know the readability of the English reading text for the students of SMKN 35 Jakarta in 2007/2008 academic year, especially the readability of the English reading texts in Creative English textbook. This research took place at SMKN 35 Senior Vocational School Jakarta. The populations of this research are 243 students in the tenth grade. The samples are 72 students. This research uses descriptive quantitative method and the instrument is a cloze test. It consists of 7 reading texts. It was found that there is 50% of the texts are the instructional level of readability.
