Abstrak
The research is done to give explanation whether the English summative test for seventh grade students that administered on SMPN 10 Jakarta Pusat academic year 2009 / 2010, on December 2009 has good content validity or not. The research method used to know the content validity the English test for junior high school is a descriptive comparative analysis method by analyzing and comparing the content of the English summative test to those of KTSP (School Based Curriculum) for junior high school. From the analysis the writer finds out that the English summative test which was administered o the SMPN 10 Jakarta Pusat has good content validity criteria. It is because the English summative test is in line with the curriculum content. The percentage of reading skill objective is 50 %, the percentage of material is 30 %, whereas the percentage of writing skill objective is 14 % and material is 6 %.
